National Service gave me a chance to laugh at those who sign-on-ed
on whims.
Many kept complaining, and then kept looking for ways to
escape.
The ones I really admire were those who took their future into
their hands. Like my BMT instructor, a regular 3SG from poly. He
took his pay-out, threw it into a business which is flourishing
now, and now he's just waiting for his contract with SAF to end.
And he likes the chiong-sua life too, so its a double bonus for
him.
